The apartment is located in the inner city of Onstmettingen with its 5000 inhabitants with easy access to all shopping facilities like bakery (with small café and breakfast), butchery, grocery, hairdresser, doctor, pharmacy, restaurants, bus stop and playground, everything accessible within 300 m at a maximum. Free public parking is availabe vis-à-vis separate entrance of the apartment.
Onstmettingen, the most Northern part of Albstadt, is perfect if you want to explore the surroundings in your hiking boots and/or on your mountain bike. There are various possibilities for mountainbike and hiking trips, accesible within walking distance of less than 10 minutes. Our „Premium Walking Trails on the edge of „Schwäbische Alb“ also start here where you can enjoy a wonderful view, sometimes even of Stuttgart (approx. 100 km from here) and the Alps. From viewpoint „Zellerhorn“ you have an exquisite and wonderful view of Hohenzollern castle, for example. From autumn to spring the castle often immerses into a romantic sea of fog.
Ski lift Ruchtal of Ski club Onstmettingen for alpine skiing and snowboard and free use of Raichbergloipe for cross-country skiing are avaiable in winter. Alpine skiing in case of minor snow depth is also possible in Albstadt Ebingen because artificial snow production there is possible .
You can easily reach small towns like Albstadt-Ebingen (10 km), Balingen (17km), Hechingen (15 km) and Sigmaringen an der Donau (39 km) by bus or by car for a little walk. If you like more entertainment, you can set out for Tübingen am Neckar (50 km) or capital city Stuttgart (90 km) with ist new „Milaneo“ shopping centre for example as well as „SI Centrum“ offering a program of varying Musicals. A beautiful scenery for a relaxed walk also you can find in the historic centre of Ulm (90 km).
